For three -initially- hours, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. daily except weekends, the National Stadium of Chania (track and field venue) will be open, as announced during a meeting of the Managing Committee with the representatives of the Clubs active in the facility.

So:

– The athletics academies, in consultation with each other, will hold training sessions on the outdoor basketball and handball courts, behind the indoor gym, with entry exclusively through the indoor gym (training hours 5 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.).

– The entry of candidates for the national exams who will take special courses (sports) for their entry into the TEFAA and military schools will be by showing their exam participation card and after consultation and information from their clubs in order to draw up their entry lists for the facility.

– The entry of athletes who have significant obligations and are awarded points for their performance in the Panhellenic championships will take place after informing their clubs and drawing up entry tables at the facility.

– The above also applies to all those who have obligations that require training (participation in State exams, referees, etc.)

The representatives of the Clubs were given relevant responsible statements to sign, in order to ensure that during the training period alone, no damage is done to the lighting fixtures that will be located around the stadium and to ensure the safety of those inside the stadium, as well as to safeguard the safety of the materials.

During Tuesday, work was completed on the northeast lighting pillar, with the installation of the lighting fixtures.

The first stage with the installation will be completed within the next few days and within the time period set by the contractor (installation of lighting fixtures on all pylons).

The second stage, which will be defined in consultation with the unions and includes the targeting study, the connections and the new PPC substation, is expected around mid-July, with completion around mid-August, without affecting the users of the facility. For three days, within this specific period, the electricity supply to the entire facility will be interrupted.

The third stage includes the painting and maintenance of the pillars, which also does not affect the use of the facility.
