The open area of the National Stadium of Chania will be closed from next Monday, July 4, as scaffolding and perimeter security fences are being erected for the maintenance of the electric lighting pylons and the installation of LED lamps.
The clubs that use the facility have already been informed.
For its part, SEGAS has sent a relevant letter in order to take care of the training of certain athletes who have obligations with the National Athletics Team, given the safety issues raised for their health and physical integrity, and possible solutions are already being considered.
Work has begun on the preheater
Work has begun on the construction of the preheater on the east side of the National Stadium (Korai pedestrian street).
The warm-up will include two pits (long jump-triple jump) and sprint lanes.
A team from the Technical Service of the General Secretariat for Sports is already inspecting the work.
It should be noted that both the work on the pillars and the creation of the preheater are expected to be completed around the end of September.
