The General Secretariat of Sports (G.S.A.) maintains an online electronic platform entitled "Electronic Registry of Sports Clubs with Special Athletic Recognition" (hereinafter: "electronic registry"), on the website "somateia.gga.gov.gr", in which sports clubs that bear the special athletic recognition of article 8 of law 2725/1999 are registered, after the registration of data and the control of the registrations by the competent service units of the General Secretariat of Sports, in accordance with the new decision 168038/2021 and its annexes.
The purposes of the electronic registry are:
a. Support for amateur sports clubs and their emergency funding to address the negative consequences of the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic,
b. The registration of amateur sports clubs that carry or acquire special sports recognition in accordance with article 8 of law 2725/1999 or are considered to carry such recognition, in accordance with paragraph 5 of article 135 of law 2725/1999.
c. The search for information on specially recognized sports clubs or those considered to be specially recognized according to the legal distinction of paragraph b.
d. Any other lawful action or purpose provided for in a provision of a formal law or regulatory act.
In order to register in the electronic register, the sports club submits an application electronically, through the online platform of article 1, with all the information provided as mandatory in Annex I of the decision. For the correct submission of the application, the instructions for completing it are followed and the documents and supporting documents provided for in Annex II of the decision are submitted in an appropriate electronic format (pdf file).
The submission, review and evaluation of applications for registration in the electronic registry for the year 2021 is carried out in two (2) cycles.
a) The first cycle of submission and evaluation of registration applications begins from the publication of this in the Government Gazette and ends on 30.6.2021.
b) The second cycle of submission and evaluation of registration applications starts on 1.7.2021 and ends on 30.9.2021.
A club that has been registered in the electronic register in 2020 is obliged, for each sport for which it has been registered, to update the required information by 31.8.2021. Updating information constitutes a new registration application. If the update application of this paragraph is found to be incomplete, resulting in the non-update of the registration (non-re-registration) in the electronic register for the year 2021, the interested sports club has the right to correct, supplement and re-submit its application by 30.11.2021. In the event that the application is not accepted after the re-check, the club does not update its registration and does not register in the electronic register for the year 2021 with respect to the sport or sports for which the registration criteria are not met. A sports club that has been registered in the electronic register for the year 2020 and has not been deleted in the meantime is considered to be registered in the electronic register for 2021 until 31.12.2021, provided that it has submitted a request to update its data within the deadline, in accordance with this paragraph. After the expiry of the deadline provided for in the first paragraph of this, the sports club is deleted ex officio from the electronic register, with regard to the sport or sports for which it failed to submit a request to update its data within the deadline.
