We inform the sports fans of Chania and the users of the National Stadium facility that as of today, June 1, work has begun on the energy upgrade of the electric lighting.

The space, in accordance with current legislation, is under the ownership and exclusive responsibility of FASIAS CONSTRUCTION, which is also the contractor of the project.

According to the contractor, the stadium must be closed for a period of time for absolute safety reasons. twenty (20) days, as there is a serious risk of accident (e.g. electric shock).

However, given the Holy Spirit holiday, work will be accelerated and the Next Tuesday, June 6, it is highly likely that part of the stadium will open, in order to facilitate their training - exclusively and exclusively - for candidates of the national exams for admission to the Departments of Physical Education and Sports Science (TEFAA), as well as athletes who have very important obligations during the summer.

It is noted that The indoor gym will operate normally. and only the open areas of the National Stadium will be inaccessible, we repeat for safety reasons.

To this end, a representative from each association that uses the facility is invited to attend a meeting to be held on the afternoon of Friday, June 2, at 4 p.m. at the offices of the EAK of Chania, in the presence of a representative of the contracting contractor.

At the same time, We also invite the media of Chania to attend the meeting., in order to resolve any questions that may arise regarding the execution of the project during the given period of time.

The Chania Public Service Commission fully understands the need of candidates for the national exams for the best possible preparation and, as mentioned in a meeting last week, All necessary actions were taken towards the contractor and the General Secretariat of Sports, so that a solution could be found immediately to the issue of partial use of the stadium.
