The invitation of the General Secretary of the Tae Kwe Do Federation Lykourgos Katakis was accepted by the president of the Managing Committee of the Chania Sports Association, Takis Svourakis, in order to award the athletes who distinguished themselves in the open inter-club championship in Chalkida on March 11, 12 and 13 with over 1,200 participants.
Specifically, athlete Giatraki Paraskevi won the gold medal in the junior women's up to 62 kg category and Hatzidaki Maria won the silver medal in the women's plus 69 kg category.
"As a representative of the EAK, I mentioned that we are proud to host Mr. Katakis' club in our facilities, I wished them success in continuing their work and I particularly emphasized on behalf of the administration that our goal is twofold, on the one hand to bring children with their parents as supporters to sports, to the field, to the club, to the team, and on the other hand we applaud and support all sports regardless of how popular they are. Now well-established, with the registry at the General Secretariat, they make up the entire Sports family of Chania, Crete, and Greece", pointed out Mr. Svourakis.
