The Chania Regional Office in collaboration with the Municipality of Chania is organizing a webinar entitled: Athletes and Covid-19: How to return "Mentally Resilient"
Speaker: Lina Psouni, Sports Psychologist, MSc, PhD

For athletes, both professional and non-professional, there have been huge changes in their daily lives since the sports facilities were closed and training was limited. In order to compensate for the consequences of the interruption on the psychology of athletes, it is very important that they fully understand and accept their emotions and at the same time limit the thoughts that stimulate them. In order to prepare for the return to training, it is essential to understand the different training conditions and the new regulations for the implementation of health protocols. In general, athletes have developed “mental resilience”, as they have learned to face adverse situations and pressures through competitive action. Working on themselves during the preparation and recovery period will give them even more resources for effectively managing their psychology.
🔴 The seminar will be broadcast live HERE and from the EAK Facebook page: Chania Public Health Office.
